Hi, I am fundraising for my corgi, Momo and his journey on beating death. He was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer with a huge mass on his throat on 4/3. We immediately scheduled for a surgery a week later on 4/10. The surgery was a success, but there was a complication afterwards that made his heart and breathing stopped. He was technically dead for a whole 12 minutes while doctors continued to try bring him back with CPR. Our world collapsed while hearing the doctor walking through us what was happening. Miraculously, he survived with a faint heartbeat and light breathing, but we were again told that he was probably braindead due to lack of oxygen for over 10 minutes. We visited him and were screaming his name and everything that he might have a reaction to, but he was in a coma. Without much hope, we were about to meet him for the last time next day morning, but he then opened his eyes and gained some body functions back. There was a less than 2% chance for him to survive all that, but he did it. He was then transferred to a critical care unit and the next couple days will be crucial for survival.
Throughout this whole ordeal , our priority was to bring him back to us regardless the cost, but we did accumulate some hospital bills from ER to oncologist to surgery to now critical care, and he will still have to go through radiation in the future if he is recovered. Any help from you will be greatly appreciated
