My YWAM missions year!

Donation protected
Hi everyone!
My name is Emily, I'm 18, and I live in London.

What will I be doing?
Starting October 2023, I'm planning to travel to Norway for a total of 7 months, connecting with young people around the country through showcasing God's love to the children through youth work and helping church youth projects over the country, e.g. clubs, religious education lessons, young people events etc.
Alongside outreach in the community around Norway, I will be attending bible teachings and faith workshops, helping me in becoming equipped with a greater servant's heart, especially in relation to my mission.
There are also a couple of side adventures to Iceland and Montenegro to further our experiences in outreach.
For two months afterwards, we plan on travelling to a country outside of Europe and working in schools, communities and programs within that country's home church where we would be. This is an opportunity to experience different cultures and develop my heart for the mission.

Who am I going to involve myself with?
The company I intend on going with is a fantastic volunteering missions organisation that works in 180+ countries, with tens of thousands of staff, called YWAM (youth with a Mission). This particular base is located in Skien, Norway, surrounded by beautiful nature and intimate communities with a beautiful culture.

As a course and team, the vision is to build relationships with the youth around us, and our heart is to impact their lives by showing their true identity in Jesus!

I truly believe travelling whilst sharing my faith with those around me is something I would love to do after my gap year which is so exciting!

The cost breakdown
These funds of £7500 cover my 7 months of teaching in Norway, a short trip to Montenegro ( a country in southeastern Europe), an outreach to Iceland and a further two months of outreach in a country outside of Europe! These have included places such as Nepal, Columbia, India, Brazil, Tanzania and many more before!

The school costs just shy of £6800
That extra £700 covers my work permit visa which costs £600, with an extra for essential toiletries etc, throughout the year and flights to and from Norway.

Meeting this target financially would be amazing as I know God provides in beautiful ways, and any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated. Still, above all, I would love prayer partners throughout the year!
And hope to organise a newsletter before I go in the autumn.

Upcoming fundraising events!
On Sunday the 6th of August, me a couple of church friends are planning on a fundraising cycle around a special route through London that is geographically shaped like the Norwegian country!! The distance for this is roughly 40km!

Thank you for all your support so far :)
Emily.
