Donation protected
I woke up this morning to find both my motorcycle and my car missing from my apartment's parking garage. Initially I assumed both had been towed, but when I called the tow company that manages the lot, they informed me that they had not towed either vehicle and suggested I check with the police. The police confirmed that they did not have a tow report for either my car or my bike, meaning that both had been stolen. My car and my motorcycle were parked 3 floors apart in completely different areas of the garage, making the theft even more unbelievable.
My motorcycle was one of my first major purchases, and I put every penny I had into paying it off while I was serving in the military. It cost me $13,000. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover theft or damage, so any costs to replace or repair my bike will have to be paid completely out of pocket. I am lucky that my car does have stolen vehicle coverage, but I will still need to pay a $1,000 deductible for that as well, unless it can be recovered undamaged. I am not used to asking for help and normally would not do it, but I am currently working part time as a surgical tech while putting myself through college as a full time student at UCD. Unfortunately, I don't have any money saved up for a predicament like this. I know we all have our own problems to deal with and understand most people won't have any money to spare, but if you are able to help out, by sharing or donating, big or small, it will be greatly greatly appreciated.
About me: I grew up in Idaho and rode my first dirt bike when I was five. I absolutely love motorcycles and bought my first sport bike, on my own when I was 15. After getting out of the Navy two years ago, I moved to Denver where I have been a full time student at UCD and have been working part time as a surgical tech to help pay my way through school.
