Hi my name is Cara I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer in January 2022. I started Chemo in February2022 and I finished in May and I had my double mastectomy in July 2022. They thought I responded to chemo but in fact when they did my surgery I had tumor left in my breast and 15/16 lymph nodes in my armpit. After that I got a PET scan, they got all my cancer in my breast and armpit but the cancer moved to my supraclavicular node in my neck. Now I need radiation and chemo pills. I’m getting a CT scan of my brain and a biopsy of my neck. Then I ended up really sick they couldn’t find out what was wrong with me… after a blood transfusion and spinal tap… with that I found out I had cancer cells in my spinal fluid… 5% of people get this kind of cancer it’s called leptomeningeal. The survival rate of this was very bad but we caught it early and with chemo injections right into my spinal fluid…after 4 chemo spinal taps it came clear and so far I’m doing well this does however make me stage 4. With all this medical stuff I haven’t been able to work. I can’t get temporary disability because I didn’t work a regular job for two year because of COVID and I drove for LYFT. In the mean time my husband is working hard to try to support us with all of our life bills. We are suffering due to my illness. I didn’t want to make a go fund me but I’m drowning. Anything will help I hope family and friends can find it in there hearts to help. Thank you
