This campaign is for a very old and dear friend of my father. My father always taught us to help those in need, even if it be in small ways. I still remember him performing random acts of kindness when I was a kid, like offering an elderly woman a lift home from the store or going out of his way to pick up travelers from the airport and host them at our home. I hope to carry on his spirit of service to others in my own life.

My father's friend is Nafees Khan. He is 62 years old and is battling cancer, alone. He is an educator by profession, but he recently lost his job at Phoenix College in Arizona. In addition to the loss of his job, he also suffered the loss of his dear brother Masood in 2016.

Just a few months ago, Nafees received his cancer diagnosis. With very little savings and no family support, he is in a very vulnerable position right now.

He had just started working as a substitute teacher at Phoenix Union High School, however since starting his cancer treatment he has had to take a temporary leave until he recovers.

Nafees needs financial support over the next 9 months to get him through his treatment program and on the way to recovery. Your donations will go towards his daily living expenses and any medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
