This trip is being planned for the summer of 2027 and by then I hope to raise £2,700 to allow me to participate. This trip is such a unique experience, and I strongly believe it will be a once in a lifetime moment with opportunities ranging from humanitarian charity work to seeing famous temples and learning about other people's way of life. During this trip I will stay at 3 camps across Cambodia, some in the central rainforests, others by the sea.

The trip is split up into four sections: expedition, cultural, volunteering and environmental.

The first expedition consists of me and other attendees acquiring our PADI level 1. This is a scuba diving course that will give us a lifetime permit to scuba diving (with some limits). Next culture: During this part of the journey I will be visiting religious Buddhist temples, one in particular is Angkor Wat. This is one of the largest Buddhist temples across the country and the world. We will learn about Buddhism and its surrounding culture. The next part of this is probably the most impactful of the entire trip Volunteering. During this section I will be helping local communities by building facilities such as toilets, schools or even water containers. While doing this I hope to bond with local communities and make friends as I go whilst also making an impact on their living conditions. And now the final part of this amazing experience would be environmental. During this last stage I will be helping something else, nature! There is no certainty on what exactly this will consist of; it could range from planting trees to helping wildlife.

Now a section about me. At the time of writing, I am 14 years old but by the time this trip starts I will have done my GCSE’s and will be 16. I live in a decently sized village and have never been outside of Europe. Personally, I feel this trip will be an exciting new adventure, showing me a different side of life and hopefully changing me positively for the future. This could also boost my later life by shaping and influencing my CV with examples of difficult challenges I have overcome and demonstrating my ability to be an outstanding person. Lastly, I truly hope that I can make a difference.

To me this trip is something that could help not just me, it will also help local communities in Cambodia and by giving to this project you will also help them too.
