My business is in trouble and I need help.

My name is Oceola (OC) Bragg. I am a 78-year old, recently widowed woman who never imagined that I would be placed in a position to ask friends and strangers for financial help, but here I am, humbly asking for your assistance.

My husband David and I have run a business, selling at a Flea Market in NYC, for over 30 years. Two years ago he suffered a stroke, which resulted in his inability to use his arm and he also had severe mobility issues. I took over the business, and at 79 it’s been very hard to handle, as I too have mobility issues, and use a cane.

My husband passed away 10 weeks ago, and I was determined to keep the business going. Our van was our only means of transporting our goods to the market, and after many attempts at patch jobs to keep it going, my mechanic said it just wasn’t worth fixing.

David and I both survived on Social Security and the income from the flea market. Without his income, I just cannot afford a van, as I’m barely managing on Social Security alone. This has been a stressful, lonely and very sad time for me, and could use a little help to move forward.

I recently found a used van for $6,000.00, and am hoping that with your help, I’ll be able to purchase it. This business meant everything to my husband. I’m determined to keep it going. If you can help in any way, I would be forever grateful
