For the past 14 years I have been living with anal fistula disease.  I was told a colostomy would help the condition, it didnt and now I've been told in ant have this reversed. It has been debilitating and affected all my 20s and more than half of my 30s! Living a life filled with painkillers, drains fitted and a constant leaking wound. Life can be challenging. There is now a new treatment available, however as it's only on a trial basis only, I have to pay for this privately. It's a paste that is injected under anaesthetic and is derived from pigs collagen. It is mainly used in treatment for hernias. However of late it's been trialled in anal fistulas with an 88% success rate and to me that is massive! 
I would just love  to experience a life of normality with no pain. Thanks for reading. Linda x
