My Brothers memorial services and other expenses

Hi my name is Jessie Hart, I’m fundraising on the behalf of my little brother who passed away on Father’s Day June 19, 2022.  My brother was only 30 years old he still had his whole life ahead of him leaving behind a daughter who is 11 and a son who is 9.  Our mother was just put in living hospice this year on Mother’s Day and our dad passed.  My brother had a lot of good things starting to go for him and in the right positive direction and with his death as of now being unknown we have to wait patiently for more answers.  My brother and I have suffered many health complications throughout our life that possibly could’ve caused the loss of his life.  My brother was my best friend and my everything!  I raised him basically as my own so not just as a brother but as a son since he was born.  I told him how to write his name, I taught him how to ride a bike, I bought his first power wheel, I bought his first four wheeler, and I also helped him by his first car.  So to me it was like having another child.  Before he had any children I had my daughter.  She was a miracle baby and also was his everything and goddaughter.  I’m not gonna get into the sad traumatic stories of our past but to take this moment to tell you what an amazing goofy soul he truly was.  I feel like it was not his time but was in Gods hands.  Derek Paul McCarthy was born In Panorama city, CA on November 15, 1991.   A couple years later we ended up in Naperville, Illinois where we spent most of our childhood then later moving down to Champaign, IL where he started his life and family.   Not far after we lost our dad from complications to a bad car accident and things have never been the same.  I used to take my brother absolutely everywhere with me he was attached to my hips.  Our  brother and sister bond was inseparable, you could ask anyone.   I would bring him to the malls with me,  bring him to all my car clubs, skateboarded, snowboarded together and we loved to fish.  I was not much of a reader but my brother was he loved his Game of Thrones or is Harry Potter books. I wish I wasn’t telling you a story about who he WAS and wish you HAD a chance to know who he was as a living person. Truly a heart of gold, loved and respected by many.   I am currently battling my own health issues with really no health insurance on top of traveling back-and-forth from Las Vegas for active treatment for the rest of my life where I moved a few years ago to Chicago Illinois.  Thank gosh for Northwestern cancer and center of disease.  My brother also was currently waiting for a health procedure that was going to take place a couple days after finding out about his passing.  Planning with all of the expenses of the memorial service, cremation, travel expenses, rental car, housing it’s adding up very quickly and had extremely stressful for me.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated during this time of need and we will be forever grateful!
