My Brother’s Keeper follows Dr. Moses Young, a Black physician whose oath to help others is put to the test when he discovers a wanted runaway slave in need. Through this story, the audience will explore the virtues of empathy, self-sacrifice, and our shared responsibility to care for those in need.

My Brother’s Keeper is a graduate thesis film produced by a team of talented filmmakers from the Savannah College of Art & Design - Atlanta. Our dream for this film is to encourage audiences to see reflections of ourselves in those less fortunate, and to lift them up, even if it may mean sacrificing our own comfort.

About the Director/DP:
Isaiah E. Williams is a young Black cinematographer and director from Columbus, OH. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Film & Television Production from Savannah College of Art & Design - Atlanta. He graduated from Cleveland State University in 2021 and is a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School.
With his passion for filmmaking and peer education, he enjoys crafting beautiful images while sharing his knowledge with others. Through his films, Isaiah endeavors to craft visually engaging narratives that impact his audience by lifting up stories of the past to inspire people of the future.
Isaiah's biggest film influences are cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki and director Alejandro G. Iñárritu. His favorite films are The Revenant, Birdman, Ben-Hur (1959), Parasite, and Black Mass.
