As you all know, my family has been hit with another devestating death. My baby brother, Derreck Shuman, passed away suddenly in his sleep on Monday evening. Unfortunately, we were not prepared, and I have to once again call on the kindness and generosity of family, friends and strangers. Derreck was only 37 1/2 years old. He was the baby in our family. Myself, my brother Michael, my father Joseph and my aunts and cousins are all struggling with this new reality and are grateful and thankful for any and all help. Any money we receive will be used solely for my brother's cremation/service, urn, and death certificates, and whatever might be left over, will go towards a memorial service, like we did for our mother 3 short years ago. None of us were ready for him to leave this Earth, but we strongly believe he is with our mother and grandparents now, and in that we find comfort. I hate to ask for help, but I cannot bare to see my brother be buried by the state in a pine box somewhere. He belongs home, with us.
