My sister and my brother-in-law came on vacation to visit the family, and to stay with my mother who was hospitalized at that time. Everything worked out fine since they where able to visit family in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco. My brother-in-law Eyder Monteagudo was the happiest man on earth since his dream came true when he visited San Francisco and it's Golden Gate.
This morning... They got ready, said 'goodbye' to the family and left for the airport. On their way to the airport, Eyder wanted iced tea and stopped by an Starbucks... they got into the I-5 freeway. On the freeway, 15 minutes en-route, he started to complain of pain on his left arm, and then on his chest. They stopped on the shoulder of freeway, called 911... a rescue crew showed up immediately. He was taken in an ambulance to the hospital where he died on his way. My sister Malena was at his side and passed peacefully.
My brother-in-law was a wonderful husband of 33 years to my sister. A great father, brother, son, uncle, grand uncle, and the sweetest grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his whole family.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated as this happened so unexpectedly, and we have to repatriate his body to Lima, Perú.
