Help John and his leg amputation on January 8th

Hello, My name is Mark, and I am fundraising for my brother John and his family, because of his leg amputation and LVAD.

He was in the hospital with only 25% of his heart functioning in November 2022. The Doctor said if he went back home, he would die. His diabetes and health have already prevented him from getting on the donor's heart list.

Yesterday 1-8-24 when I took my mom to visit him and his wife at the hospital. He was supposed to be there to get his foot treated for the really bad infection. We were visiting for around four hours and a Dr. came in to inspect his foot. The Dr. Said she would be right back. Three other Dr.'s came back with her. She told brother they can save his life, But NOT his foot. It was a very emotional time for all of us. The fighter my brother is. He had chosen life over his foot.

His loving wife has homeschooled the kids since they were old enough to start. My nephew is 10, and my two nieces are 13 and 15.

This go Fundme is to help them pay for now a motorized wheel chair, wheel chair ramp and the home will have to have doors removed and widened so he will be able to navigate around his home. The remodeling needed to be done so he can get in and out of rooms, in and out of the bathroom will cost thousands, and that doesn't include he will need to be able to get his vehicle changed so that he will be able to get to appointments.
