I waited 22 years to see my two brothers and when they came from California it was like we were never separated. They've been here for 3 years and my brother Shannon went back for a visit a few weeks ago, the next thing we know he had to be flown to Las Vegas with blood clots in his leg and it's just been downhill from there with his health. Seems like everyday they keep finding something else and now he's fighting for his life and just wants to come home. The hospital can't release him without an oxygen machine and can't even treat the lesions they have found because his blood count is too low. The hospital tells us he has to be flown home with this machine and assistance from hospice but it costs close to $3,000 not including the plane ticket. I don't know where to start and I am so overwhelmed because I've never had to deal with something like this. We work hard and make things work in our household I live paycheck to paycheck raising my teenage daughter and we have everything we need but nothing left to save for something like this. I am praying that my brother will recover and get better but the doctors are not as hopeful. I can't let him be alone he needs us. I just want to get him home.
