Hi, I’m Kelley (Moore) Kurtz, and I’m raising funds for my brother, Bryan Moore.
On Sunday morning, Bryan lost everything he owned in a house fire caused by a faulty power strip. While he didn’t have much to begin with, losing everything is devastating. He had no time to save anything—he was lucky to even be outside at the time, weed eating, when he walked back into the house and felt the heat. When he checked around, he saw smoke and then flames in his bedroom.
His home—a duplex—was severely damaged. Thankfully, because of his quick action, everyone is safe and the other side of the duplex was spared.
As many of you know, Bryan suffered a traumatic brain injury in a major accident in 1990. He was in a coma for nine days and had to relearn how to walk and talk. While we’re grateful he survived, his life and decision-making were forever changed.
He joined the Army and served time overseas! He is a proud Veteran and we are all thankful and proud as well!
He hasn’t had it easy—and while he’s made mistakes, he is still deserving of love, dignity, and support during this overwhelming time.
We’ve helped him with some immediate essentials, and he has a place to stay while repairs are underway. But he has nothing else—he needs clothing, bedding, basic furniture, kitchen items, and more.
If you can help, I will personally manage the donations and make sure every dollar goes directly toward helping Bryan rebuild.
Thank you for your compassion and kindness. Every donation, share, or prayer truly helps.
With gratitude,
Kelley (Moore) Kurtz
