My brother Bill Genna urgently needs your help
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Maureen Genna-Hough and on Friday, February 3rd, my brother Bill Genna had a tragedy happen when he was struck by a falling tree while in his vehicle.
Due to the extreme cold and wind conditions on Friday, while responding to an Uber request, a tree fell on his vehicle near Stiles Road in Salem, NH. As a result of the accident, Bill had to be cut free and removed from his car by emergency personnel as his vehicle was crushed around him. After being airlifted from the scene, he was transported to the Trauma Unit in Lawrence General Hospital where he has been diagnosed with severe injuries to his chest and spine.
Due to his employment as a ride share contractor, Bill is not provided health insurance by his employer - this is his only form of income. He is facing a difficult road of financial hardship as he begins his journey to recovery. Bill is now facing 8-weeks of bedrest and will be wearing a back brace, where he cannot work. He is also facing the possibility of spinal surgery down the road.
We are hoping to raise enough money to cover Bill's mortgage payments so he can focus on recovery, rather than facing the possibility of being unable to cover his essential living expenses.
If you are able to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Or, if you could, share this GoFundMe to help raise awareness and get the message out to support Bill during this difficult time. We would also like to express our sincerest thanks to the Salem Police and Fire Departments, the Lawrence General Emergency Room staff, as well as all of the wonderful doctors and nurses who have taken such good care of him these last few days.
