I never thought I’d be making a post like this, but I’m trying to help someone who genuinely doesn’t deserve what just happened to him.
My boyfriend is 20 years old and has been working full-time in the trades, doing 12-hour shifts just to stay afloat and support himself living on his own. He’s one of the hardest-working people I know—he doesn’t ask for help, and he takes pride in handling everything on his own.
Recently, he made what he thought was a smart decision to trade his truck for a different vehicle that was advertised as reliable and in good condition. The person he traded with completely misrepresented the car.
After the deal was done, he found out the car needs well over $5,000 in repairs just to be safe to drive.
His original truck was worth around $5,000, and now he’s left with a vehicle that isn’t reliable—and realistically, he may have to scrap it. That means he’s now stuck with no car at all.
For someone working long shifts in the trades, having a vehicle isn’t optional—it’s how he gets to work, keeps his job, and survives.
He’s been trying to stay strong about it, but I watched him break down over this. He feels embarrassed, taken advantage of, and stuck.
I’m making this to ask for any support—whether it’s $5 or just sharing this—to help him get back on his feet and afford a reliable vehicle again.
Every single dollar will go toward:• Replacing a safe, reliable car• Covering the loss from the trade• Helping him continue working and supporting himself
If you’ve ever been taken advantage of, or know how hard it is to build something on your own, I’m just asking you to consider helping.
Thank you so much for even reading this ❤️
