My bones need your help...again

Readers Digest version - My friends, I desperately need your help- my neck is in bad shape and I am scheduled for surgery on October 16th. My continual rejection of disability benefits has left me in a dire financial situation and out of pocket costs must be paid in advance. In addition, I am currently missing three upper left teeth and have two broken ones on the bottom right. I can’t chew and look like a meth head hillbilly (not a good look for me) To top it off, my computer took a sh*t two nights ago. Thankfully, my sardonic sense of humor is still in tact...For those of you that know me well, I HATE asking for money. Asking a second time?... I can’t say it’s like pulling teeth because the dentist already did. It’s PAINFUL. However, my beautiful new back is totally against the wall right now. My Saint of a spine surgeon, Dr Anand is being very generous cutting his fee for a $90,000 procedure to an unable to disclose but with your help, affordable amount. Thanks to his work and your love and generosity, I no longer wake with debilitating back pain for the first time in over 20 years. My entire demeanor has changed and quality of life better by the day. I have been able to return to my beloved yoga practice. I even went dancing! This is hopefully the final piece of the puzzle, and Humpty Dumpty will be together again. I have spent 34 years helping Actors achieve their dreams, always putting others needs ahead of mine. I have sponsored friends AIDS walks and rides and donated to their charities. I lost track of the number of cats I have rescued, trapped, neutered and found homes for their kittens upon kittens. I’ve taken injured street cats to the vet, even when money is tight. I’m just asking the universe for a little of the kindness I have always shown to be returned so I can be HEALTHY and HAPPY.
From the bottom of my heart, this bionic woman warrior thanks you for your continued love and support.
The light in me honors the light in you. Always...
Melanie

For more specific information about my needs, feel free to continue reading. I know it’s longer than Gone With the Wind at this point...Sorry! When it rains, it truly pours!

For those of you still reading, God Bless you. Here is the long, detailed, full magilla for your reading pleasure.
My neck has been jacked and causing me grief since I was in the Ice Capades. A 1000 pound curtain caught my headdress on my way off the ice in 1980 during a performance giving me my first whiplash. Since then, I have been rear ended and suffered several concussions. XRays in 2001 already showed degenerative arthritis and my neck curve the complete reverse of what it should be. I said in jest to one of the many chiropractors treating me for headaches, pinched nerves and range of motion issues over the years, “I need a new neck”. He said, “You do”. That was in 2011. Surgery was recommended two years ago, but my lumbar was in far worse shape. My headaches of late are debilitating and unbearable. Surgery can no longer wait.
My October 16 surgery date is fast approaching, and once again out of pocket costs must be paid ahead of time.  The surgery is not as intensive as the spine. I should only be in Cedars for a day or two. Dr Anand will be performing the surgery, fusing C5-6, C6-7 and C7 - Thoracic. Words can not express my gratitude to Dr Anand as he has given me my life back.  Using state of the art technique to rebuild my lumbar, without cutting any muscle, I bounced back very quick.  I was hoping to wait on this one, but deterioration is rapid and will worsen if I hold off too long. My Warrior strength, grit and determination will get me through as there is no quit in this woman!

My ongoing dental problems were pushed to the side while dealing with my hips and spine. In addition to the aforementioned problems, my front teeth are starting to get loose which terrifies me! I can no longer hold off. The impressions for my partial need to be made before my surgery as I won’t be able to have that kind of pressure placed on my jaw and straining my neck afterward. I need My dream would be having enough cash when all is said and done to do SOMETHING about my bottom teeth. Implants are out at the moment as I have so much bone loss in my mouth I would need extensive bone grafts. Every time I eat food is constantly getting stuck in the broken teeth and hole. Right now, all I want is to be able to chew my food and speak in public without being embarrassed. I also worry about the diseased teeth that are still in my mouth jeopardizing my health.

And if things weren’t already a challenge, my laptop and lifeline to my business died this week. Talk about a sh*t storm!! My husband has been covering expenses for both of us for the last three or four years. Tapped out is an understatement. It’s been a stressful few years to say the least. We always try to put on a good front no matter what. It’s been hard at times to stay positive. Especially since I have suffered from depression and anxiety most of my adult life.

Thank you for your help. If you can’t donate, please please please share and share again! No donation is too small!! Every dollar helps!!! Blessings to all
