Hi, I’m Vic. I’m a 22 year old trans man. You might know me from my art, or from various local protests in Devon! I’ve been on testosterone for 3+ years, and now my sights are set on the goal of top surgery, so I can finally feel at home in my body for good.

The dysphoria I feel around my chest is debilitating, and has shut me out of so many opportunities as a result. Swimming? Don’t even think about it. Gym? Only in the dead of night. Clubbing? Utterly inconceivable if I want a shot at not being misgendered. I find myself dreading the summer year after year, but unfortunately, my journey to self-actualisation is being held at two kinds of ransom. There’s time, where I could be staring down the barrel of being on an NHS waitlist until I’m well into my 50s, and money - private surgery costs thousands of pounds, money I don’t have as a minimum wage worker! Between the two, I’m taking my chances with fundraising.
