My Black Trans Journey 2026 Photo Exhibition

My name is Emani Ena Edwards, and I am a Black Trans woman using photography to share my journey and inspire others in the LGBTQIA+ community. After years of self-taught growth and activism with marginalized groups, I have found a new path for my art here in the US. My upcoming exhibition, planned for September 2026, will showcase original photography that documents my personal story and the experiences of other Trans community members. Through my lens, I hope to create a space for connection, visibility, and empowerment.

This exhibition is more than just an art show—it's a celebration of resilience, identity, and the power of storytelling. The funds raised will help cover essential costs like venue rental, printing and displaying my photos, promotion, paying workers, refreshments, and transportation. By bringing this project to life, I want to reach people who may feel unseen, offer representation, and spark conversations that lead to understanding and change. My fashion and style are woven into my work, making each piece a statement of pride and authenticity.

I am committed to partnering with those who believe in the movement and supporting the Trans community. With your support, I can continue to develop my craft, connect with others, and ensure that our stories are told and celebrated. Every contribution brings this vision closer to reality and helps create a lasting impact for our community. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
