My birthday wish is to get my mom out of debt, and into her own apartment!

Hi everyone,

This year, instead of a party, my birthday wish is to help the most important person in my life. She’s always put my sister and I first. Her fiercely independent and ambitious personality has been inspiring me since i was a little kid.

She took on a lot of debt at a young age since she was financially dependent on my dad before they split up. She was barely old enough to get a credit card or loan, let alone experienced enough to understand how far it would follow her. over 10 years later she’s still struggling with the debt she took on to make sure her babies were living a good life. She’s older and wiser now, but a lot of us know just how unforgiving credit and debt can be.

I want to do something meaningful that shows her just how kind people can be, and that she deserves to be put first too.
