This year for my birthday, I’m asking for something different — your support in helping teens experience something truly transformative.

In February 2026, I’ll be leading a group of teenagers to Phoenix, Tucson and Nogales, Arizona, for an immersive educational trip about the realities of immigration at the U.S.–Mexico border. We’ll meet with people from every side of the story: Immigration officers, migrants who’ve sought asylum, those running shelters, lawmakers, volunteers who leave water in the desert, immigrants who have built new lives in nearby communities and many others who play a role in this complex process.

It’s a journey about understanding — not politics — and it has the power to open hearts, challenge assumptions, and inspire empathy in the next generation of leaders.
