I was born with a rare condition called Biliary Artresia. I was fortunate and blessed that I was able to get surgery at 8 weeks old that saved my life. That surgery allowed me to live 22 years normally. However, the surgery has run its course and as of June 2018 I was told by doctors that I need a liver transplant. My mom is a single mom who has toughed it out these past 11 years since she divorced my father. My mom has worked two jobs at times to make ends meet. She was able to raise three children on her own. Ever since I was 18, I have been helping her financially. However, now that I am battling my health issues and I have been hospitalized 4 times in less than 2 months and currently waiting a liver transplant- I can't work as much because of my frequent hospitalizations and doctor visits. My mom and family are struggling very much to make ends meet. We need help to find a better place where I am going to recover post liver transplant, and to make ends meet. It is a tough situation to see my mom work so hard, struggle and face the fears and challenges that come with having her daughter go through major medical complications. My whole family is very sad because we are scared for my health and our financial stability during this time of crises. I really want to raise money to help my mom and I get through this, especially because I am also trying to get my last year at Cal Poly Pomona done. It would mean the world to me if I could graduate on time and get through this tough time and put some financial relief on my mom and family. Any help would help. Thank you.
