I’m raising money to benefit Macmillan Cancer Support, and any donation will help make an impact.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
At the end of July 2025 my Dr sent me to Wythenshawe hospital for a routine check, a check that has changed my life forever.
I had more tests and scans over the course of August to be informed i have stage 4 Lung cancer which is not curable , but with luck can be treated to slow the cancer down .
The immediate response was to dig a hole in the sand and stick my head in it, i had no idea what to do or say, i was scared that this is it, this is how it ends, what's Paul going to do when and if i can't do things for myself , how can he do a full weeks work and look after me when things get tough.

That's when we were introduced to The Macmillan support group whilst with my consultant .
They talked to my Husband Paul and myself through the different treatments , and the support we could get with dealing with our finances and what to expect in the long run , what treatments i may have and the effects to my body .
We agreed that if my cancer was not curable then the least i could do was join a trial to help others and maybe myself ,and again Macmillan were there for support and the knowledge.
Eight months on and i'm still here , i know i can't be cured , but i do know that Macmillan nurses are at the end of the phone for me or Paul if we need help , or if we just want someone to talk to .
So please help us raise some cash so the nurses can assist others in the same predicament , just as well as they are us !
