My Best Friend's Mother's Funeral

My name is Marcella Zanetti and I started this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend, Jewel McCarthy. Her mother, Denise McCarthy, passed away on November 28, 2021.

 

Denise was diagnosed with Lupus a few months ago; an autoimmune disease with no cure. She contracted Covid and Pneumonia and her death came sudden. Denise spent much time in the hospital and rehab trying to get better, but her soul ultimately needed to rest.

 

While Denise touched many hearts, her loss will be most felt by her daughter, Jewel. In this difficult time, I think of Jewel. She is a 20-year-old college student, an only child, and lived alone with her Mother, Denise. She is not only left with the heartache of losing a mother at such a young age, but her and her extended family are also now left with the financial burden of funeral expenses, and Jewel left with life expenses after the fact.

 

I wish to alleviate as much burden from Jewel as possible. Jewel has a heart of gold, is a straight-A student, and an extremely hard worker. While we remember Denise with love, remember you are helping a girl in need who lost the person most dear to her.

 

All donations will go toward funeral costs. In the case of extra funds, all will help Jewel stay on her feet.
