Hello. I'm Gavin. You may know me as that Gordon Freeman or Doomguy cosplayer on Instagram since you were most likely re-directed from there to here. In any case, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm making this fundraiser for my best friend, Jay, who, due to extremely unfortunate circumstances involving abuse and neglect from his family, has now been made homeless. As his best friend, I want to try and help out in any way that I can, hence why I'm making this fundraiser. He needs emergency funds in order to provide himself with food, fuel costs, and shelter. Thankfully, due to the generous donations he's received so far, his rented storage unit is now payed up until 12th of April 2026. I cannot thank you all enough for that.

I've known Jay for the best part of 6 years. We first met at a comic con down in London in August 2019, and have been best friends ever since. We share the same geeky interests and hobbies, and we've supported each other through thick and thin, even despite living across the country from each other. I can't just stand idly by and watch my friend suffer any more abuse and neglect and be made homeless just like that.

I'm hoping that if enough funds are raised, that he'll be able to afford to move up to Scotland with either his friends or family up here or even at my place, as well as transferring his current job to a local Scottish work site.

Whatever happens, I thank you for donating to my friend and helping him get back on his feet. We are eternally grateful.
