Hi, my name is Ben and I'm trying to raise help with vet bills for my little dog Dipper.
A little background on this little guy, Dipper is now 9 years old, he is classified as a Schweenie (Dachshund and a Shih Tzu) and has been my little bubba for all of those years. He has seen me at my best and at my worse and has always been there with a ball to chase and a kiss for his old dad.
Recently there have been a lot of vet bills coming down with the other pets of the house, and now sadly Dipper is facing a serious injury, his back left knee has been injured, he is unable to put any pressure on it, he cannot put weight on it and it keep buckling underneath him. He has braved this until we could get a vets visit, they remarked that he should be in agony and yet the little guy is stoic and just wants to run around, climb stairs and enjoy his freedom.
After a vets visit confirmed the injury, it appears that the muscles around the knee are no longer 'attached' and he has a floating knee, to fully confirm this the Vets are now looking to Xray him to find out if the injury was either physical or at worse a tumour that's causing the issues and then operate accordingly. This is bringing with it a large vet bill of potentially £3000+ which is a large amount that's suddenly been asked.
I do work full time and my wage covers many things, I will ensure this little guy is fully seen to either way but being able to afford this is going to be a struggle.
I am sad that I have to turn to others to help, not because of their kindness but because I do not like having to ask for this level of help, but Vet bills are just incredibly large and I will do anything I can to ensure Dipper is safe and healthy.
So here I am asking for help, for any amount of support big or small (please if you do decide to give only what you can afford), that little man has helped me through so much and I just want him to be able to enjoy his walks and chasing balls again.
I cannot tell you how much Dipper has helped my life by just being this ever present little bundle of love, from when he was a little man afraid of rain to the little borky man that thinks he is a big tough guy. He has seen me love, seen me cry, seen me angry and he was there through it all with a little kiss and grumble when he wanted chest rubs, he is my everything.
Thank you for reading my ramblings on my little man and if you can help thank you so much for helping support Dipper.
