Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

On the night of June 13th, while trying to keep his children from danger, Juan Mojica was killed. He lived with a disability that made it difficult to move quickly and he was unable to get out of harm's way. He was taken from us far too soon in a senseless act of violence. This tragedy has left our family in absolute shock and deep mourning.

Anyone who knew Juan knew exactly what kind of man he was. He was the definition of kindness. He was a genuine, helpful soul who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. More than anything, he absolutely lived for his family.

As the sole provider, he worked tirelessly to make sure everyone he loved was taken care of. His sudden absence leaves a massive, irreplaceable void, not just emotionally, but financially. He leaves behind 6 children and 2 grandchildren who now have to navigate a world without his guidance, protection, and provider's heart.

We want to give him the dignified, peaceful farewell he truly deserves. Because this tragedy was completely unexpected, we are reaching out to ask for your support to help cover his funeral expenses as well as provide support to his surviving wife.
