My Beloved Cat is Fighting for His Life

This is Jake. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and the cat dad of a beautiful, rambunctious and affectionate survivor named Samson. I named him after the biblical hero because he came to me with a shaved butt and a blue cone on his head after being treated for a savage animal bite. Despite his stitches and cannula, we immediately bonded. He slept on my chest his first night and woke me up smooshing his face into mine, eager for breakfast. Since then he has been a constant companion to me through my own battles with depression and alcohol abuse. The pandameic threw me for a loop and I have just started to turn my life around. I'm in therapy for the first time in my life , finally adressing the mental health problems I've been self-medicating for years. He has become the sweetest and most important part of my life and I can't afford to lose him at this point in my life. I'm ready to go into debt to save him, I have a job, but a cooks salary will not afford his treatment.
