We’re reaching out today on behalf of our wonderful neighbour, Meeta, who is a bright light in our community and who has always been the first to lend a helping hand, share a smile, or check in when someone was struggling. Now, she’s facing a challenge no one should face alone.

Recently, Meeta was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite her strength, courage, and optimism, she’s facing a heartbreaking obstacle — she cannot access the public healthcare system for the urgent treatment she needs. Without coverage, the costs of surgery, medications, and follow-up care are overwhelming.

We’re coming together to raise $17,000 to help cover her medical expenses, treatments, and recovery needs. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring her one step closer to healing and give her the chance to focus on recovery rather than financial stress.
