My battle buddy Caesar’s recovery

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for help for my best friend in the world; my dog Caesar.

Caesar is a 10.5-year-old Labrador Retriever with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love. He recently tore his ACL and needed urgent surgery to walk again without pain. As many of you know, when our pets hurt, we hurt too. Caesar has been with me through thick and thin, traveling all around the world by my side, and has been my constant companion through every chapter of life.

I am active duty military, and while I’m proud to serve, it hasn’t always been easy to balance duty and personal hardship. Because the surgery was time-sensitive, I had to act fast and pay for the procedure on a high-interest credit card. I did what I had to do for Caesar, but now I’m facing a significant financial burden.

Despite his age, Caesar still loves life. Before his injury, his favorite part of the day was heading to the park with his sister (Cleopatra) and playing with the neighborhood kids, he truly lights up any space he’s in. It breaks my heart to see him sidelined, but I know with the right care, he has so much more joy to share.

That’s why I’m turning to my community, friends, and kind strangers for help.
