Hello everyone, my name is Ericka Vargas and this has been my battle against cancer and my journey through faith and hope. I had a very active life, I'm a mother of three, a restaurant worker and I think of myself as a woman that has always looked after her family and the well being of them. In 2024, my life was shaken when I received the news of having Esophageal Cancer. For me, hearing the word "cancer" was a synonym of helplessness, frustration, and despair. But through the prayers and words of hope of many people such as family, friends, even co-workers and of course my faith, I decided to stand up and believe that everything happens for a reason, learned from everything I'm going through and apply it as a way to help others facing a similar situation.

Because of the cancer, I had to stop working since August 2024. My chemos are about to be over, but now I have to go through a very complex and expensive surgery.

But believing in the goodness and kindness of others, brought me to this platform. The expenses for my pre and post surgery are very high. My medical and monthly bills keep on coming and I'm starting to feel the struggle this is why I am making this gofundme page. I want to thank you for any help you can provide, everything helps. Hola a todos, mi nombre es Ericka Vargas y esta ha sido mi batalla contra el cáncer y mi camino a través de la fe y la esperanza.

Tuve una vida muy activa, soy madre de tres hijos, trabajadora de un restaurante y me considero una mujer que siempre ha velado por su familia y el bienestar de ellos. En el año 2024, mi vida se vio sacudida cuando recibí la noticia de que tenía Cáncer de Esófago. Para mí, escuchar la palabra "cáncer" fue sinónimo de impotencia, frustración y desesperación. Pero a través de las oraciones y palabras de esperanza de muchas personas como familiares, amigos, incluso compañeros de trabajo y por supuesto mi fe, decidí levantarme y creer que todo sucede por una razón, aprendí de todo lo que estoy pasando y lo aplíque como una forma de ayudar a otras personas que enfrentan una situación similar.

A causa del cáncer tuve que dejar de trabajar desde agosto de 2024. Mis quimioterapias están por terminar, pero ahora tengo que pasar por una cirugía muy compleja y costosa. Pero creer en la bondad de los demás me llevó a esta plataforma. Los gastos de mi pre y post cirugía son muy altos. Mis facturas médicas siguen llegando y estoy pasando por momentos difíciles los cuales me estan afectando para pagar mis cuentas medicas ya que son muy altas, por eso estoy creando esta página de gofundme.
