Thank you for taking time to open this page. My name is Edmundo Cariño Jr, eldest brother to my sister Chasie Cariño, and I’m frozen in a time where our 23 year old baby sister is still just that, my beautiful, serene, and loving baby sister.
On August 24, 2025 at around 1:20AM, Chasie and her loving boyfriend, Anthony “2k”, were on their way home from LA, when they were struck by another driver not even two stoplights from home. Unfortunately, my baby sister did not make it through the incident. Our family continues to have Anthony and his family in our thoughts and prayers as he is currently enduring multiple major surgeries.
Chasie was able to navigate through life seamlessly, making connections in different pockets of the world: performing countless pieces with her high school choir at Cesar Chavez, working through summers in the fields, making family at Wally World, sifting through bins at thrift stores, attending concerts of all the artists she loved, collabing with members of Kaibigan and UFO, hosting events with 4U&I, serving looks (and tables) at Love Korean B.B.Q, all while being ready to graduate this year at CSUB.
Celebrating life was one of my sister’s superpowers, throwing parties and gathering all friend groups for any occasion from Andrew’s bday in October to Valentine’s in February. She put in so much thought into playlists, decorations, lighting and had the people to fill our parents’ house with up to 200+ people because of the light she shared with those around her. My sister was the King of Delano.
Her life was cut short, but was full of memories every person would be privileged to enjoy. Our cousins are a tight knit group, growing up with each other due to our first-generation, agricultural background. She is the first of us to pass and we definitely weren’t ready for one of us to go so soon.
With our siblings, we were even closer. Our humor was on another level. Like the true Scorpio she was, she would be ready to sting back with a comeback to add to the hyena laughter. And her water ran deep and safe as she was fair, compassionate, protective, supportive and loving to us.
Unfortunately, we have to call on our collective support systems to assist us in laying our sister to rest. This GoFundMe will assist the family in every funeral expense: the viewing/burial, plot of land, reception, and most importantly, a beautiful head stone. Her passing was not planned and we are grateful for any help that can be given.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, Long Live King Chasie Cariño ❤️
