Hi, my name is Ivette, and I’m writing this with a broken heart and tears in my eyes. My one year old baby, Prince a sweet, playful Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix had a terrible accident. He was so full of excitement, jumping around like he always does, when he leapt from a high point on the bed… and landed wrong. I knew instantly something was wrong he cried out in pain, and he couldn’t stand on his leg.

I rushed him to the vet, and they gave me the news I was terrified to hear: Prince has a broken leg and needs emergency surgery. The cost is $8,000, and I just don’t have that kind of money. I’m trying everything I can, but I can’t do this on my own.

Prince is not “just a dog.” He’s my best friend, my emotional support, and my baby. He sleeps next to me every night, follows me everywhere, and has been with me through some of my darkest moments. Seeing him in pain, whimpering and unable to move the way he used to, is unbearable.

If there is anything you can do whether it’s donating even a dollar, sharing this page, or offering advice or resources I would be forever grateful. This has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, and I’m just praying that someone out there will read this and help us.
