Hi, I’m Reanna and that adorable baby you see in the picture is my fluffy best friend Kaia.
A couple months ago I found a bubble in her ear that turned out to be a hematoma which required surgery to fix. We thought this would be a simple journey but now, several months later my poor baby has gone through two different surgeries, several medications and frequent vet visits to get this fixed and sadly we still haven’t been able to help her get to a stable point. Our veterinarian and I are doing everything we can to bring Kaia back to being a happy and healthy pup, but with frequent vet visits, came lots of spending. I never imagined turning to other people to ask for help financially, but with having already invested thousands of dollars that I don’t actually have over the past two months and still not finding a resolution - well, I’m desperate.
I couldn’t exactly sit back and let Kaia get worse just because I couldn’t afford it so unfortunately I put myself in a lot of credit card debt in the hopes she would get better. Things are slowly looking up, but the end of her journey back to health is still a long ways away. It breaks my heart to know that if say she needs a third surgery or if something else happens, I am truly at a point where I cannot afford it. I’ve had to consider rehoming her, but, I can’t shake the guilty feeling of giving up on her and financially burdening someone else with all of these issues. She’s been my pal for her entire life and I intend on letting her live out the rest of her life with me, I honestly just need help right now.
In total I’ve spent close to $5,000 so far, and I know with more upcoming vet visits that number will only climb. I don’t at all expect to raise up all the money I’ve spent nor do I expect donations from anyone, but in desperate times any dollar helps, so I’m here writing our story. I sincerely appreciate the time you took to read our story and for any donations we receive will be immensely appreciated and cherished.
