My Attendance at WAC-10 in Darwin
Donation protected
Hi I'm Laura and I'm volunteering at the World Archaeology Congress in Darwin in June of this year.
I am currently studying a Masters of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management at Flinders University.
Due to disability I am on a fixed income, most of which is accounted for.
This conference is an invaluable professional development and networking opportunity. There will be a wide range of academics from all over the world in attendance.
This is most likely the largest conference I will have the opportunity to attend in my postgraduate career.
For more information about the conference see the WAC-10 Website.
As I am based in Adelaide attending requires over 80 hours of bus travel and over a week's worth of accommodation I also have to eat and account for various other day to day expenses during this time. I also own almost no clothing appropriate for the climate having lost a considerable amount of weight since I last had need of them. Sufficed to say the costs involved in the trip are and will be considerable. Much of which will be paid out of my own pocket.
Any help is deeply appreciated.
