For those of you who don't already know, my sister in law Vicki Pouncey, has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Invasive Ducal Carcinoma and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. We are currently awaiting results from an MRI to determine if it has spread to her lymph nodes or other areas. We do know she will need a double mastectomy, followed by Chemotherapy and or Radiation, as well as other treatments and medication. There has been no decision regarding reconstructive surgey as that will be made at a later date. Vicki is the most selfless, loving, caring person I have ever met. Since I know she is too humble to ask for help, I am doing it for her. She has a long road ahead and sadly, a long financial road as well. The surgeries, treatments, and medications are needed absolutely as soon as possible. I am asking everyone to please read and share this and if you can, donate to help Vicki and her family because ever little bit helps. Vicki is the oldest daughter of parents, Ron and Linda, who raised one of the most unique people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Vicki is a loving wife and mother of two boys. She and her husband Schuyler, have been married for 30 years. Their marriage is one that everyone should look up to. Their sons, Schuyler who is 22 and Case who is 19, are her entire world. She has dedicated her life to raising them to be the respectful, intelligent, loving young men that they have grown to be. She is absolutely devoted to her family, extended family included. She welcomed me into the Webb family with open arms and we instantly became the best of friends. I consider her to be my big sister not my sister in law. I couldn't ask for a better aunt when it comes to my children. She's always there for them. Even if that means she has to drive up from Malabar to only spend a few minutes with her "littles" to give them treasures, hugs, and kisses. This is not limited to my children as she adores, admires, and is in awe of her other niece and nephew, Chelsey and Mac. Chelsey is her go to medical advisor and has always been and will always be her C-Bug. In Vicki's mind, she adopted her the day she was born. She has always been a big supporter of her nephew Aaron's dreams and ambitions. She is one of his biggest fans when it comes to his music. Her little sister, Amy, is one of her biggest supporters and inspirations or as she puts it, her rock. Her little brother, Ronnie, is more like her first child as well as her brother. She and Amy were are big part in making him the man he is today. Ronnie remembers her taking him to the Vanilla Ice concert and always being there for him no matter what. She would, and will still do anything to put a smile on his face. Vicki's other passion in life are her animals. Whether it's her goats, snakes, lizards, dogs or fish, she loves them with all of her heart. I think everyone can see a running theme here. When it comes to Vicki, you are a member of her "tribe". Whether human or animal, blood or not. I would be lying if I said that we all aren't scared right now. However, Vicki is a fighter and has a positive attitude towards what she is facing. Vic, we are all here for you and love you so very much!! I'm sure most of you can relate to what it is like to be affected by cancer, whether personally or a member of your family. I want to thank everyone who took the time to read, share, or donate to Vicki! I will continue to keep you all updated.
