I got Alice during Covid 2020 when she was 8 weeks old. Out of the whole litter she was the one that came up to me first when I first saw her. I knew she had to be mine. Funny story is she was supposed to be my dads kitty but I took her home instead. When everything was shut down I trapped inside my house for months. Alice and her brother Oliver at the time kept me company making me laugh and watch them grow up. She grew into my life. When I was sick before I knew I had celiac disease she would lay on my stomach for hours until I felt better. Since she started to feel ill without us knowing what was wrong with her I was there for her like she was for me. Last week was the worse day of my life in a very long time. I thought I was going to lose her to something I didn’t know what she was battling. She was diagnosed with portosystemic shunt (PSS) occurs in cats when abnormal blood flow from the digestive and ancillary organs bypasses the liver. I thought I was going to lose her. Vet recommended surgery which can be very costly but we can start with meds. I was very weary but now that I can see she’s a strong cat and will make it through this time. She’s my everything and I want another 10 plus years with my girl. Help me fight for her life.
