My 4th Battle With Cancer

Well, here we go again,

2023 was not a good year by any stretch. Losing my Uncle, Mother, and job all within a month of each other. To add to it, on my last day at work, I found a new tumor in my leg.

So, I got to a doctor and started the whole process again with blood work, scans, and tons of visits to various specialists. Medicare is covering some. We are only a few visits in and no treatments yet, and the bill is over $26k.

Roughly a week later, another tumor showed up in my foot where my big toe had been previously amputated for sarcoma last year.

Currently, we are waiting for biopsy results, but they believe it is a reoccurrence of the sarcoma in my toe last year in both my foot and leg. Radiation and surgery are the likely courses of action, and many months of recovery.

I am currently looking for remote work that I can do between doctor visits and treatments, and I have several prospects for that, but things are moving slowly. Danielle is working as much as possible, but with needing to help with some appointments, she has also missed some work.

Friends, family, and our church have already helped so much, and we are working with the hospital for assistance.

We do our best to stay positive and know this will work out for the best.
