 Kasseus's (Kass) Stem Cell Transplant.

Last week, Kass had labs and 3rd blood transfusion.

Ape = Grandma Aprille

Cha = Chaun the boys father

Azz = Azrael is our hero and miracle 7yr old brother that is 100% match of stem cell and iv blood for Kass.

Sep 24th Kass labs, CT scan, and Echo. Azz gets Labs and counseling.

Sept 27th Kass goes for final labs.

Sept 30th Kass for his last one day iv blood transfusion.

October 11th me, my wife Ape, and our 2 dogs make the 6 hour drive to our daughter Kiersten’s house. (Ape will be staying with Kass at hospital.) (Me to stay at their home taking care of other 2 grandsons) for 6+ months.

Oct 12th Kass goes to hospital for 7 days of chemo through his pic line. (campath is name of the chemo drug). It is mandatory that at least 1 adult be physically in his room at all times. (Ape and Cha will be there together.) They will be able to take turns going outside to take walks, eat, spend time at hospital chapel, etc..

Oct 19th Kass, Ape, & Cha come home from Hospital for 7 days.

Oct 27th Kass goes back to hospital for final round of chemo in his pic line. (Fludacadine is the the Chemo drug this time) Ape and Cha staying with him 24/7 again. They do not come home this time, they have to stay at hospital.

Nov 4th  Azz will join them at the hospital for the Stem Cell Transplant THIS WILL START 3-6 MONTH STAY

I hopefully get to bring Azz home.

If after 3 months, Kass is doing good with the new stem cells, anti-rejection and blood pressure medication, they will be sent to an apartment type place near hospital. They will need go for his weekly check up and IV medication (anti-rejection & blood pressure meds) for the remaining 3 months.

During this 6 month time I will be taking care of Kass's brothers at their home. (to & from school, preparing meals, overseeing homework, house upkeep, and everything else that goes with it)

My daughter (Kiersten)will be working as much as she can to pay their monthly bills, buy food and gas, traveling to and from the hospital (1 hour drive each way) to see her son Kass. Going to counseling appointments, finally coming home for sleep and visit with other 2 sons when she can. She is so very strong, we are so proud of her.

I have a “Go Fund Me” account set up for donations to help her and the boys financially during this stressful time. Hopefully the donations will lessen her financial stress.

Even if you are unable to donate, please share this with all your friends and keep us in your prayers for a successful transplant.
