Hi, my name is Rita. I am 69 years old and all I have is Social Security for an income. No savings at all. Last week the car that I've been driving for 23 years broke down because the frame had rusted through. I need a car for doctor's appointments and errands. I am looking into resources that provide cars for the elderly but there's a waiting list and I am low on it. I have also been looking into beater cars but they mostly cost anywhere from $3000-$5000 and my mechanic has vetoed all of my current choices. I am trying to reach at least enough to get a mechanic-approved vehicle. This is the only way I have to raise money and I'm hoping you can help.
