Hi everyone,

My name is Shea , and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my girlfriend, Paige , who is just 19 years old.

I am doing this by having a charity boxing fight.

Only a short time ago, Paige was able to move around our home although already suffering with complex chronic regional pain syndrome she was full of life regardless of her daily challenges she always pushed herself on the days she could. Then, overnight, everything changed. Without warning, she lost the ability to walk and move as before she is now bed bound. After a week stay in hospital hospital having tests, she was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) — a condition that disrupts how the brain sends and receives signals to the body, often causing severe physical symptoms like paralysis of her legs full body tremors, seizures, and chronic pain.

Despite how life-changing this has been, we’ve had very little medical support or understanding from the NHS. FND is still poorly understood, and specialist care or rehabilitation options are extremely limited and often not covered. Paige has been left to face an incredibly challenging reality with little guidance or help.

    Raising awareness and knowledge to support the disorder
