Hi, my name is Tiah, and I’m arranging this fundraiser on behalf of my little brother, Jaxson Smith, who is just 19 years old.

On Friday, 27th March at 5pm, Jaxson was involved in a serious car accident in Beecher . He was treated for over an hour at the scene before being airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital, where doctors placed him into an induced coma due to the severity of his injuries. Later that night, once he was stable enough, he was flown to Royal Brisbane Hospital for further treatment.

In the past 48 hours, Jaxson has undergone multiple major surgeries, including neurological procedures to reduce swelling from bleeding on the brain, as well as orthopedic surgeries for his shattered legs and spine. The swelling is too bad to get a clear understanding of the extent of certain injuries, but he’s still fighting for his life.

This has been an incredibly overwhelming and heartbreaking time for our family. We are raising funds to help cover Jaxson’s living costs while incapacitated and the rehabilitation he will need in the months ahead. Jaxson will also be unable to work for the foreseeable future, adding further financial strain during this already difficult time.
