Hi, I am writing on behalf of my 12 year old son's dog Legend. She came to us (me) 13.5 years ago having been in an abusive household. It took a lot of work to get her to where she is today. I was pregnant when I adopted her and she never left my side, even lying on my stomach as it grew. When my son was born, she never leaves his side and is always found lying on him or near him. On Saturday July 12th, a freak accident happened with a baby gate. It fell on her and she suffered a spiral fracture of her humerus. Being the age that she is and that it is a front leg, amputation might be really hard on her. So we have decided ( my son and I)to try surgery to repair it with titanium plate and give her a chance of hopefully a longer life. The surgery is costing us $1786 Canadian. Money is strictly being used to help pay the vet bill. She is really a remarkable dog and has the biggest heart. She came to us when she needed a home. We found out how much our hearts need her.
