I didn't know how to tell you this.

This poor guy. His surgery didn't take and we were forced to amputated his leg. It has been since Thanksgiving since this happened to him and he is only a week out of his cone, and still not recovered. I didn't want to or even know how to break the news to all of you guys. I just knew you all deserved to know how he is doing. Lastly there has been no payment received, from the person or parents, for any of this tragic and terrifying event.

Special thanks to Zoe and her team over at Valley News Live

Hello my name is David,
I am a single dad with three kids.
I was on my way home from picking up my daughter from an extra curricular program from school.
When I arrived home my little puppy was shaking and his leg was hurt. I checked my camera, after my mom left to take my puppy to the ER vet, and watched in horror.
I saw a 14 year old, who we will call "Kid", with my son who is 13. I have a rule of no one over until I get home.
At first they came in and my son put on his VR headset he got for his birthday. The kid started picking up my dog and spinning him in circles. I saw him pick him up by his back skin multiple times. I called from work and made sure my kids were doing their chores. As my son did the dishes, the kid started choking my dog, making sure my son didn't see. I watched my puppys life draining from his little face.
My son looked over and the kid immediately acted like he was just playing with him. My son comes in to the living room and takes the dog, telling him to leave him alone and not touch the dog.
They play for a little, while as I see my puppy trying to hide. As they finished playing and my son left the kid in my living room, for literally only a few seconds, the kid rushed grabbed my dog by the skin of his back with both hands and hurled him down my basement stairs.
Eventually my son went down stairs and found my poor puppy but failed to notice his broken hind leg. He took him upstairs and cuddled on the couch with him commenting how he was scared of the kid. The kid said "I don't care".
I arrived home and handled the situation. My puppy is almost 3 years old. He is the sweetest Bichone Fries. I bought him for my daughter's 9th birthday for $1500. I held him and then asked the price. I didn't want to spend $1500 on a dog however I fell in love with him. Please help our little guy.

The surgery was a success.
Thank you to all the people that have donated to help. This means so much you guys. We have nearly reached our goal and I can not begin to show my appreciation enough.
