In March 2027, we will be taking on the 100km Sahara Desert Trek to raise funds for The Azaylia Foundation. A charity established in 2021 to honour the life and legacy of Azaylia Cain, after she lost her battle to AML (acute myeloid leukaemia) at just 8 months old!

Every year in the UK, 1,900 children are diagnosed with cancer, yet it receives less than 3% of all UK cancer research funding. The foundation is dedicated to providing crucial family support, championing the voices of patients and families, and helping children access treatment options that may not be available on the NHS.

Every mile we walk across the Sahara is for the children and families facing challenges far greater than any desert trek!

For 5 days we will be passing through Morocco’s forbidding landscape punctuated by peaks, gorges, dunes and oases. At night, we will be sleeping under Africa’s starry skies and in the company of traditional Berber hospitality.

Our fundraising target is a minimum of £3,000 each, and by supporting my challenge you’ll be helping to bring hope, support, and opportunities to families navigating the unimaginable.
