In June, I’ll be taking on a huge challenge: running a 100km ultramarathon to raise funds for Red Cypher. 

This journey started with my very first long run, the Great North Run in the summer last year, now I’m pushing myself further than ever before. I’m running for Red Cypher because of the incredible support they provide to 3 Royal Horse Artillery personnel and attached arms. From arranging compassionate flights so soldiers can reunite with their families in Commonwealth countries, to backing events that strengthen our community, Red Cypher consistently shows up for those who serve. 

They also stand beside the families of those who have lost serving members, offering support during the hardest moments imaginable. Their commitment to our people doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off, it extends to the loved ones left behind. 

This ultramarathon is my way of giving back to them. Every mile I run is dedicated to the soldiers, families, and communities who benefit from Red Cypher’s work.
