MXX’D^ (pronounced mixed up) is a Bay Area based rap duo formed by long-time prolific emcees, Versoul and Señor Gigio. Both have been known around their community and beyond, for being authentic, empowering and dynamic while pushing the evolution of Hip-Hop. Together, they exemplify what the future of rap can sound like in a new age conscious awareness with deep respect for the roots. With Versoul as music producer and composer, they remain eclectic and unique in their sound, blending multi-genres, melodies and worldly rhythms. The experience that MXX’D^ provides is one that allows people the space to heal themselves, connect with the divine and celebrate their lives in the wildest ways. They are here to liberate minds and hearts and uncover the beauty within souls when living in truth.
The name MXX’D^ is a tribute to both Versoul and Señor Gigio’s mixed heritages encompassing nearly the entire globe. They believe that by acknowledging all parts of themselves, they can open up space for great Ancestral healing and bridge the gap between the ancient and the youth. MXX’D^ is for the world, especially the youth, as they dedicate their messages, wisdom and knowledge of self & reflection as teachings through their music. Versoul and Señor Gigio both embrace the fact that because their music & stories will reach the world, that they are also role models for the world. They embrace being role models and because of this, are intentional with every lyric, note, beat and melody. MXX’D^ is made with intention, the same way their music is made and will be here to serve the world for good. This is only the beginning of the journey and MXX’D^ looks forward to the lifetime of growth and the bettering of our lives and our world.
MXX’D^ is currently working on their debut album titled, “Ingredients 4 Life”, a full-length 11-track project produced by Versoul. The entire album is a vibe from top to bottom with ear candy hits that can go far and break into pop culture. The music of MXX’D^ will stand the test of time, because they do not sound like anything or anyone else. Everything that MXX’D^ does, is in house. Versoul and Señor Gigio are independent artists who also work behind the scenes on the recording, mixing, production, illustrations, video, filming, planning, self-management and merchandising, with over a decade of experience to support the plethora of skillsets they’ve acquired and continue to.
It is our ambition to travel far and wide and spread our music and positive messages, so we are seeking to raise $8k for the production expenses, promotion, graphics, merchandising, recording and engineering. We are building a legacy brand in MXX’D^, one that can encompass our creative musical works with our community works & our mission is one of longevity.
