Both my sister and I (Callum / Zoe) are writing this asking for your help to save our dad's life.

John suffered a significant stroke on 13.2.22, leaving him paralysed down the left side of his body, as well as this John is now partially blind. The stroke was caused by several blood clots found on the right side of his brain and a blocked carotid artery in his neck. These blood clots have not been removed. He desperately needs to be moved into a hospital to receive the proper treatment to help save his life. On top of this, whilst he was in the hospital during the first week of his stroke, he has suffered a broken collar bone, believed to be the cause of poor handling from staff. John is on blood thinners currently and nothing else and transferred out of the hospital without receiving necessary treatment and put into a nursing home.

John has been living in Spain for the best part of 10 years now. Since then, his main goal in life has been to rescue abused and abandoned dogs. Over the years, he has saved many dogs and found new homes for them to live a good life, as well as providing a good home for 15 of the dogs himself. Spud, Spike, Luna, Terra, Dolce, Jack, Spartan, Cassia, Mika, Skye, Dakota, Gypsy, Mouse, Red and Holly. These dogs mean the absolute world to John. So it is heartbreaking for John that he cannot be with his dogs at the moment.

John also has a massive passion for photography and spends his spare time out photographing beautiful dogs in his life and the gorgeous surroundings in which he lives. So many people know how wonderful a human being he is and how caring he is for the animals and people around him. He is always giving, never asking for anything in return. We know this would be very difficult for him to ask for help from others.

The funds raised here will get John the proper medical treatment, support and rehabilitation he urgently needs. If he cannot regain use of his whole left side, significant changes will need to be made to accommodate his care at home as it is currently unsuitable for his needs.
