Cody's Top Surgery
Hi everyone!
My name is Cody, I'm currently 20 years old and I need help raising money to get top surgery. This has been definitely been something I've always wanted since I was a kid (like 9 years old ) honestly. Sadly, I do not have insurance nor a high paying job that I can consistently save/put money towards it. I'm lucky to have the support of my friends when approaching this journey of my life.
I'm looking at getting surgery from Dr. Daniel A Medalie in Cleveland, Ohio. I have my heart set on it, and I hope I can get the chest I've always wanted by Spring or Summer of 2020.
This is something I thought and dreamt about for years. The older I get, the more I realize how much I need this surgery. For my happiness. For the well-being of mental health. And for me to be comfortable in my own body. It's hard to look in the mirror and see a body that you don't really...align to. It's hard, but I know I can make it possible.
Chest dysphoria is a pain and it sucks like hell.
There's a lot of things this surgery can do for me, I can't really explain all of it in depth. But, I know I would be happy. I don't want to bind my chest anymore. I don't want to avoid buying certain shirts just because of my chest. I want to be able to hug someone without thinking of my chest. I want my significant other to be able to lay their head on my chest. I want to be comfortable and secure in my body. I deserve that. Along with any other Trans person. We deserve to be happy with our bodies.
My body is beautiful. My body matters.
Any help/donation would be deeply appreciated. It's very hard for me to make this fundraiser, but at this point, I need the help of others. I do not want my parents to dump the little money they have in order to help me. This is my journey. This is my life.
There's so much more I could say, but I hope you all understand. I will try to sell art and get a second job in hopes of saving/ paying for some of the surgery. However, since I'm not in school and living on my own, I have my eyes set on getting myself in a better position (academic/financial wise).
